Red Red Wine
I love wine, especially red wine in the winter time.
The best merlot I have found is the Organic Swooping Falcon from Woolworths.This Merlot has no added sulfites which mean a far less chance of being headache inducing then other wines.
It is also amazing quality and only around R50. Goes great with pasta, pizza or even just on its own.

Whimsical Weekend
Friday was such a gorgeous day that I couldn't spend it indoors, decided to head to the Helderberg Plaas in between Somerset West and Stellenbosch to do a little walking. They have an amazing scenic hiking trail but I am not much of the hiker type so just did a couple kilometers.
They have a little cafe and a place for kids including an area with animals, old tractors and farming equipment.
I had to have a pic on one, this is as farmer as i am ever going to get hehe.

I had a major something sweet craving and headed to In The Vineyard for some Chai tea and Lemon meringue.

So I went to The Gardens Centre for a bit of retail therapy. The Body Shop and La Senza had massive sales on so I am now officially broke.
I also popped into Cassis for some delectable macarons, Yum yum.

Spontaneous Times
This weekend I decided to go to the Helderberg Nature Reserve and ended up having quite a long walk, it was just such a beautiful day to not enjoy the outdoors.

Lets Celebrate Madiba!
Today is Mandela's 93rd birthday as well as Mandela Day which is a day to celebrate all that he has done for South Africa and even the world. It is about spreading the kindness.
Basically the campaign message is "Mr Mandela gave 67 years of his life fighting for the rights of
humanity. All we are asking is that everyone gives 67 minutes of their
time, whether it’s supporting your chosen charity or serving your local
community."
So lets all set aside some time and offer a hand to those in need of help.
