Spring Wishlist

I am soo excited that it is almost Spring time and although this winter hasn't been too painful I cant wait to haul out my summer staples.

Firstly I wanted to show you my latest addition to my duffel bag collection, I know it is rather weird but for some reason I love love love duffel bags, they represent travel, throwing essentials together and heading off on an adventure.

It is a beautiful day today, definitely feels as if spring is ready to take centre stage.

 I am feeling rather lazy and wish to consume a dozen macarons and enjoy a picnic on the Sea Point promenade.

Beauty Haul

This weekend I went to Canal Walk and did a bit of shopping, at Stuttafords I picked up Dr Brandt Microdermabrasion exfoliating face cream. It is amazing! I have combination skin and often feel the need to do some exfoliating and after using this my skin feels like silk and my pores are invisible. Apparently the range tries to keep to using as many natural ingredients as possible so it isn't a harsh chemical-filled product at all but you should wait 3 days between uses so that you don't damage the skin.

I also finally purchased some Shatter nail polish, I have wanted to for a while but was not sure if the crackled look was for me. I will be applying some when I have my next manicure and think I want to start by using it over a plain white nail colour and then work my way up to extreme pinks and golds.

Putting Pen to Paper

I am a creative soul but I love the business side too.

I am currently studying a Bcom specialising in Retail Management and when I have completed my degree then I plan to start a career as a fashion buyer, the perfect job for balancing my two loves.

 Studies have been quite hectic at the moment and it feels as though I never have enough time to just "be", so I have promised myself to set some time aside just to write, write what is on my mind, poetry, dreams or whatever I feel like. No pressure, just to have that creative outlet makes my soul feel content.

I purchased a pile of Moleskine pocket notebooks and so that I never have an excuse not to have paper on me I will religiously keep one in my handbag at all times. I truly love these notebooks, the way the paper feels just allows one to drift off into their own world and mind.
